Terms of Service

Your account

You must be at least 16 years old. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. One account is for one person.

What ScriptLab does

ScriptLab turns a novel you import into a script with scenes, characters, backgrounds, portraits, and voices that you can play back and export.

The results are generated by AI. They can be inaccurate, can differ each time, and may need your editing. We keep improving the service, so features and models may change.

What you import

Your books stay yours. You give us permission to store and process them only so the service can work for you, including sending the necessary text and images to the AI providers listed in our Privacy Policy.

You must have the right to use what you import: your own writing, works in the public domain, or works you have permission to adapt. We do not check this for you, and you are responsible for it.

Your books are private to your account. We do not publish them.

What you make

Between you and us, the scripts, images, audio, and videos you generate are yours to use. Two things to keep in mind: if the source novel belongs to someone else, their rights still apply to what you make from it; and AI-generated material may not be protected by copyright in some countries, and similar results may be generated for other users.

Rules of use

Do not use ScriptLab to:

• Import or create content that is illegal, that sexualizes minors, or that harasses or threatens real people.
• Infringe someone else's copyright, trademark, or privacy.
• Get around usage limits, content filters, or security measures.
• Open multiple accounts to collect free credits.
• Resell access to the service, or extract data from it with automated tools.

Credits and payment

AI actions cost credits. The cost is shown before you confirm.

• You buy credits in packs. Payment is handled by Stripe. Prices are shown at checkout, and taxes may be added where they apply.
• Purchased credits do not expire.
• Free credits given at sign-up or in promotions have no cash value.
• Credits cannot be transferred to another account or exchanged for money.
• If a generation fails on our side, the credits for it are returned to your balance.
• We may change prices or credit costs for the future. Credits you have already bought stay in your balance.

Refunds

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you can cancel a credit purchase within 14 days and get a refund, as long as you have not used the credits from that purchase. When you spend credits you are asking us to deliver the service right away, so the part you have used cannot be refunded.

Outside of that, purchases are not refundable unless the law where you live says otherwise. To ask for a refund, write to picchiotech@gmail.com.

If a payment is reversed or disputed, we may deduct the credits from that purchase or suspend the account until it is settled.

Ending or suspending an account

You can stop using ScriptLab at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account by writing to picchiotech@gmail.com.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other people at risk. Where we can, we will warn you first.

If we ever shut ScriptLab down, we will give you reasonable notice so you can export your work.

Availability

We work to keep ScriptLab running, but we do not promise it will always be available or error-free. It depends on outside providers for AI, payments, and hosting, and they can fail or change.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under the law, or liability that cannot legally be limited.

Beyond that, and as far as the law allows: ScriptLab is provided as it is; we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits or lost data; and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Portugal. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protections of the law of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts there.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top, and for significant changes we will tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using ScriptLab after that, the new terms apply.
